Hence the psychological continuum described (below) by Austria's Association Against Animal Factories from about a year ago. I do think that in my lifetime greyhound racing will end, circuses will be animal-free, elephants and marine mammals won't be in zoos, and fur might even be banned.
Would I ever say I restrict my diet to food that wasn't made from the parts of creatures as sentient as the greyhounds I share my home with? The kids made tortillas from scratch and then went to a factory to see how professionals do it. Any other factories on the agenda? I don't think of that as a restriction.
What that means is that it wasn't a factory-farm operation. Food for my soul does not involve grilled greyhound any more than it involves grilled chicken. He is mere steps away from wondering whether there is a right way to use another, but those steps are a chasm for him. on my schedule and for my palate.
