Birding Fallon: Well Worth the Trip

Speaking of hawks, two talented and extremely knowledgeable falconers, Marie Gaspari Crawford and Chloe Bowen, shared with us their birds and their experiences. Also on hand were an Aplomado Falcon and a Red-tailed Hawk who was so mellow that he allowed Bowen to stroke him on the back, a gesture which we were told raptors ordinarily detest.
