Here are a few of my recommendations for some such esteemed members of the Costa Rican avifauna: Forest Football Chicken or FFC (Great Tinamou) – Since tinamou sounds like the perfect representation of an oddly-shaped bird with a small head that gives beautiful tremulous vocalizations, I am sorely tempted to leave this one off the list.

Plenty of other species stopped by, of course, but they were sorely outnumbered. In the parking lot of a shopping plaza, however, he saw a Peregrine Falcon come plunging out of nowhere to absolutely obliterate a Rock Pigeon. If was amazing, if somewhat sad for the pigeon.
