Bringing a dog into the family is no small decision. Dignified and loyal dogs such as Greyhounds and Siberian Huskies will sit by your side no matter what, and don’t require high-energy antics provided that they receive plenty of exercise. If you have a family, you’ll also want to find dogs that are good with kids.

“Normal” collars– Most dog collars are used to dress up the family pet and to identify it to strangers who may come into contact with the animal. These collars are particularly useful on greyhounds and other dogs with a small head and large neck. Here are the most common types of collars.

No playing with little white dogs, which isn't uncommon for greyhounds. He was 85 pounds (large for a greyhound), very muscular (odd for a greyhound) and spectacularly gorgeous, with Pharaoh Hound-like ears. Far more than a diabetic greyhound. No greyhounds were forced to race in the above photo.

Thanksgiving 2010 will be Baby Sky's first, and our opportunity to introduce her to the notion that our family doesn't eat animals (not to mention that other historical story we'll be correcting). There will be no greyhound corpse on our table, no turkey corpse and no pig corpse. But we can bring our story to that world.
