The Zone-tailed Hawk that had been reliably viewed in Irvine seemed like a nice idea but it was only really reliable in the afternoon, which meant I would have to find a way out of family obligations for the day and fight rush-hour traffic after seeing the bird. I could try for a Painted Redstart showing up at Lacy Park in San Marino.
