En route to our next stop we slowed down next to a park and spotted the now countable Egyptian Geese. Then he pointed out a Least Tern that came in to hunt for fish on the pond as if I would be assuaged with another bird that has “Least” in its name! And could we just do a quick drive through at a fastfood joint?
It’s the boar hunting season. We are approaching a large mudbar with some more Dalmatian Pelicans… and a flock of geese… dark, round-headed and short-billed, elongated white blaze on their faces – threatened and declining Lesser White-fronted Geese ! We started from the village at, perhaps 50 m a.s.l.
