The vet did give me a hard time about the dogs' animal-free diets (my traditional vets don't, ironically), and my response was that unless she could show me some research that his particular type of injury needs animal protein to heal, I wasn't going to change anything. been there. My poor boy. Wish him luck!

Yet More Good News for Project Treadstone

She said her Trapper Man could go to the Project Treadstone site--last night and this morning--and trap up to 10 cats that she would bring to Pahokee. However, she does have people who can help, and now that Pahokee's open they will focus some time each week on Project Treadstone! Can you imagine?

From the feral cats of Project Treadstone to Charles' back surgery to problems with Violet's Vetsulin (insulin for dogs), we had more than our share of issues. For these reasons, my vet had no problem with me stockpiling Vetsulin. As many of you know, 2009 was chock full of creature-related drama for me.
