Over 3 million pairs of Antarctic Fur Seals breed on South Georgia, saved from near extinction by fur hunters. Surprisingly, South Georgia is not all ice and snow. There are eleven types of plant habitats, including Bog, Mire, and four kinds of grasslands.

of Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Jon Gassett has indicated that if enough people write in protest, the proposed hunting season–due to start this December– will be reconsidered. Nationwide, wildlife watchers now outspend hunters 6 to 1. We can fight them back in Kentucky, too. Kentucky Dept.
