An eastern Missouri woman is sentenced to 12 year in prison for neglecting her dogs. Authorities said the animals were infested with fleas and lacked adequate food and water. That's a pretty stiff sentence. The sentence for 46-year-old Tamara Lynn Benscoter of Park Hills was handed down Friday. Six dogs were seized.

Prior to her being rescued, she was also fed a poorly unbalanced diet and neglected. I raise money regularly for animal charities and awareness around canine exercise.
