Barb looked like the kind of woman who would own a pit bull or a German shepherd. I didn’t have high hopes for Fizzle’s survival, but I called animal control and learned that they had taken Fizzle to a shelter about ten miles away. I gave the shelter a call, expecting to hear the worst.
