Greyhound skin is very thin. The greyhound people tell you that, not to mention it's pretty obvious. Tags: Current Affairs Greyhound Matters. At least Emily the kitty, though not at all skinny, had an uneventful year. What a relief! Sometimes all we can do is care for the animals we share our homes and lives with.

From the vegan equals vegetarian discussion, to the nonviolence does or doesn't include property damage, to certain abolitionists deciding that they are in fact the only real abolitionists, it has gotten comical. Violet the diabetic greyhound does very well as a vegan as her recent blood work demonstrated. Charles the lame greyhound doesn't process grains well at all. I've never discussed that Emily the kitty eats one meal of Ami vegan kibble on most days (and one of canned, animal-based food). She is doing fine with that. He never has.

Just in case you were wondering what an 85-lb red fawn greyhound looks like from the back with a couple dozen acupuncture needles in him. And yes, that's Violet Rays taking up most of his acupuncture bed at the homeopath's office.) The needles between his toes were apparently not of the painless variety. I've had those.

There is a general consensus that vegetarianism and veganism are different philosophically. I do think that in my lifetime greyhound racing will end, circuses will be animal-free, elephants and marine mammals won't be in zoos, and fur might even be banned. How about this? None of these things will happen without targeted campaigns.
