Animal Person

From and article by: Ms T Baker Co-ordinator, www.greytexploitations.com (which has that fabulous Racism=Speciesism=Sexism graphic on its front page) Dougie is the third greyhound in as many months – which we know of – to have been subjected to this kind of attack but sadly, he was the only one to survive.

Update on Charles, Violet Rays & Emily

Animal Person

This is my darling 83-pound red fawn greyhound, Charles Hobson Booger, III who has been lame for about a year. Charles Hobson Booger, III 6/3/03-10/15/10

Animal Person

He had a corn removed Thursday morning, left the vet looking just fine and happy to be rid of the pain, and by 5:00 pm yesterday, after we were told that he had a less than 5% chance of survival with days of intensive treatment, and after consulting friends who are vets, we decided to euthanize him. That's a far more common problem.

Charles Comes Home!

Animal Person

And after vet upon vet, and drug upon drug (and also some acupuncture and chiropractic), we had to take him to Orlando (3 hours north) for an MRI. Fortunately, greyhounds Ivy, TK and Baby just moved back into town so he'll have some friends to lounge around with in a couple of weeks when he's permitted more movement.
