Here are the results of the EU flirtation with restricting research on primates. Researchers can continue most experiments on mankind's closest relatives -- chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans -- after European Union lawmakers watered down proposals to restrict testing. Nothing, nothing makes me angrier than animal researchers.

I don't support animal research and I have no sympathy for animal researchers. I would never advocate violence against a researcher. I almost quit a book club a year ago because one of the members is a proponent of medical research. She is a data tech for a clinical testing company (for profit by the way.)

Know Your Adversary Part of being an effective activist on animal research issues is knowing the arguments in support of animal research. Be cautious in repeating claims you find on the Web, especially those made by members of chat groups. Get FOIAed Up!
