Kitten Rescue is a wonderful animal rescue organization! They have had truly great success in finding loving new homes for unwanted cats and kittens. Kitten Rescue volunteers place approximately 1,000 cats and kittens into new homes every year. Kitten Rescue’s goal is to help Los Angeles become a no-kill city.

Caring for the homeless cat population in Los Angeles, FixNation , offers free spay and neuter services to caregivers of community cats. The group, founded in 2007, also provides a free, full-time spay and neuter clinic for homeless stray and feral cats, plus low-cost, spay and neuter services for tame pet cats.

Often these puppies or kittens are not placed in homes, and end up in the shelter. Puppies and kittens often up in shelters as well, but it is important to note that your animals, especially puppies, require a lot of work and training and can be quite destructive (peeing on the carpet or chewing shoes).

If you want to give a life-long home to a homeless, domesticated animal and you are fully capable of doing so, fantastic! Please remember that puppies and kittens will likely live a lot longer than seniors, and they will likely cost more over their life time. It takes some work, but I committed to that work and I'm happy to do it.
