Hunters go to Africa to shoot lions, and this is without question a good thing; for birds, for ecosystems, and for lions in general! The interests of those working for conservation and those working for animal rights and animal welfare don’t always perfectly align like you might think they do. Oh, and then there are the hunters.

An explanation is given about how market hunters and the draining of wetlands left no place for migrating waterfowl to land or feed and “ the Great Plains soon became a mass graveyard for migratory birds, raising the question, how do we protect birds from man ? Hunters are not doing it as much any more. It did neither.

Palin is known as an avid hunter; Scully is best known for his vigorous defense of animal rights. No amount of advocacy for environmental or animal welfare issues advocacy can make up for his support of Palin/McCain. The Palin-Scully pairing is anything but a guaranteed fit, though. I guess he likes putting lipstick on pitbulls.

Now, Baxter is heavily developed, with big box stores and all, and Brainard is a welfare town. The part of the road that went through Brainard was replaced, not long ago, with a road that ran through an undeveloped town called Baxter. I don’t want to make any accusations or anything, but that smells like base corruption to me.
