Illegal spring hunting and round-ups of moulting birds are taking place on the Russian breeding grounds and illegal shooting continues in Norway. Dalmatian Pelican Pelecanus crispus. In my native Serbia, pelicans are only vagrants, although in the under-birded southeast, they may be more common than we think.
