When I last visited the town almost 10 years ago, it had a Wild West feel, and Wikipedia claims that it is “an important location for trade with Myanmar, in both legal and illegal goods and services” but it seemed pretty tame to me this time. min/h) in rainy day.

The former is worse than the latter, though in some jurisdictions both would actually be considered illegal. We can find other ways to get him up close to birds, like visiting a local farm, getting him to responsible zoos, or just taking him out to places where other people feed birds.

A private zoo operator in Taiwan cross-bred lions and tigers, resulting in three "liger" cubs. Both species are endangered and it is illegal to cross breed them. During 1990s, the South China Tiger became extinct in the wild (some still survive in zoos) and the number of extinct races reached four. In the 1980-s, another race, the Javan Tiger become extinct and the total numbers halved to somewhat over 20,000.
