In India, f orensic tests helped establish guilt in the killing of 10 endangered lions. Between February and March 2007, 10 lions were killed by poachers in three different incidents at the Gir National Park (GNP) which houses 360 Asiatic lions, the only surviving population in the wild.

The only exceptions to this are the Lions , which are spectacularly unconcerned by people, and, to a lesser extent, Cheetahs. The latter was another lucky find, the day after the Tiger in Sariska in India, and I only located it because of a mob of Jungle Babblers that had found it first. Leopards were problem species for me.
