I believe Palin will happily support Cheney's inhumane policies on torture and attacking other countries. Anyone who challenged w's environmental policies as too liberal is a true hater of anything she can't eat or kill for fur. I also believe that there will be absolutely no thought behind any of her behavior.

It is argued that the killing and eating of meat indirectly tends to brutalize people. In the weaker form of the argument it is maintained only that eating meat tends to make people less sensitive to people’s inhumane treatment of other people and more willing to accept people’s brutality and inhumanity to other people.

The dark secret behind factory farm profits—cruel and inhumane animal husbandry—is getting out. Factory farmers treat animals inhumanely for no good reason. Since morally decent individuals oppose treating animals inhumanely for no good reason, factory farming is becoming an increasingly hard sell.

He asked whether cows, chickens, sheep and some of the other animals that we eat are usually treated and killed in a humane manner. The meat industry will say yes, of course, all animals are treated and killed humanely. The eventual kill is quick, clean, and painless. It's a thoughtful question I wish more people would ask.

Nick Rahall and Raul Grijalva have introduced a bill that would protect healthy wild horses from being killed by the BLM. In a written statement, Rahall says the intent is to help spur alternatives to killing excess wild horses that are in holding facilities.
