At the time of slaughter, these frightened animals are inhumanely loaded onto trucks and shipped long distances to the slaughterhouse without food or water or protection from the elements. Consequently, there is no good reason – no sufficiently weighty reason – to raise animals in inhumane conditions and kill them for food.
