Throughout the entire show, the judges and contestants always refer to their meats as the "protein." Vegetarians and vegans know that you get protein from vegetables. Protein is not dependent on meat at all. I've seen two chefs wear stupid meat-inspired shirts. Tags: exotic meatsmeat cooking.

He always refers to himself and his wife and his child as "vegetarian." But why does he say "vegetarian?" That bothers me, as there's a significant difference in motivation for vegans and vegetarians and he sounds like one, yet calls himself the other. In all fairness, most people's only reference is PETA.
And the wife says that one thing the family does is eat less meat and eggs (and they raise the animals on their land), but even that is glossed over. I think those are the only references to diet. when asked none of them says that one thing they do to combat climate change is to alter what/whom they eat.
