Corey’s Best Bird of the Weekend was a surprise Swamp Sparrow at the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve in Nevada. I didn’t travel much this year, with a June family trip to California and Nevada and a four-day trip in July to Trinidad and Tobago being my only opportunities to get birds not in the northeastern United States.
