The Sunshine State isn’t known for its massive snow drifts, nor for the massive flocks of Snow Geese that grace states like Texas and NewMexico every winter. Both bore the darker colorations of the Blue Morph gene, but it was impossible to mistake the species for anything other than a Snow Goose. I love Snow Geese.
We did however see a Yellow-rumped Warbler at Elephant Butte Lake, NewMexico on 16th November 1989 and a Townsend’s Warbler at Big Sur, California on 3rd December 1989.
