Getting intimate with a species over the course of the breeding cycle is one of the more rewarding aspects of birding, and field research too. stuffing the chicks full of delicious seeds, most commonly including seeds from species of Croton and Hyptus. My co-worker thinks a better name for them is porcupine parrotlets.

Although, it is not for the first time when inter-species adoption occurs, but every single case is getting more and more exciting – animals can not only be friends, but parents and brothers as well.

Interestingly, the eagle featured in Panama’s coat of arms is not the Harpy Eagle, but a representation of an American eagle species, as the United States was the first country to recognize Panama’s independence. A Harpy Eagle. Like Woods, I can’t get over their talons.

Like the related boxfish and porcupine fish they tend not to be particularly fast or particularly concerned by divers, but they aren’t showy like angelfish or lion fish in a way that attracts much attention. In fact, puffers are pretty antisocial, and this species is noted as being that and solitary on the Wikipedia page of the species.

Rehabbers are very responsive, although constantly living under the gun makes us sometimes vent about species that aren’t necessarily the ones in question. Porcupines throw their quills! Porcupines can’t shoot their quills, any more than people can shoot their hair. Feel free to vent!”. Bats just love to fly into human hair!”
