Vegan education/advocacy for animals is easiest for me when I know my audience. I spent years forcing people to look at photos of bludgeoned baby seals, "veal" calves in crates and skinned animals. As far as I know, all I accomplished was presenting myself as an angry person who people didn't want to talk to again.
