People interested in animal welfare who are against this idea are completely missing the point here. This makes perfect sense. The logic of this is ridiculous.
MEXICO CITY – Animal rights activists staged a protest against the sale of pets in Mexico City, urging residents to adopt dogs and other animals instead of buying them. Late on this story. I copied the full article from the Latin American Herald Tribune.
Here in Seattle, NARN (Northwest Animal Rights Network) has been staging protests at a local restaurant that serves foie gras. Having said that though, I see that these types of protests have had an effect in the San Diego area. They've caught a lot of grief over it. I can't say I've always felt it was the best use of time.

He then says he goes to "exceptional lengths" to make ensure the physical and psychological welfare of the primates he uses, "except when it's absolutely necessary" to harm them. Peaceful protests were ignored, as well. Home protests were ignored also. says a commenter on the journalist's blog).
In addition to working to stop this cull, IFAW is helping draft China’s first national animal welfare legislation that will prohibit culls like this. Please send your message of protest today. We’ve stopped culls like this in other Chinese cities, and we can stop this one too!
than with any genuine concern for species diversity or even animal welfare." Animal activists don't care about the health or welfare of deer herds? First of all, does he really believe that piffle? Why change for welfare purposes if there is no clear economic benefit? Such an awful practice. But, as is typical with many large industries, there is a resistance to change unless there is a clear and immediate profit windfall.
