And for those of you who are completely bird-centric, herps has less to do with diseases and more to do with reptiles and amphibians (and in a way, are not all birders technically herpers too?). So my first, and hopefully not last, entry to this website will be about my last big trip. Quality birds, especially in the area.

Rehabbers see reptiles in glue traps, gulls entangled in fishing line, raccoons used as target practice, raptors dying from rodenticides, and songbirds shredded by domestic cats … cats like Puck. They pointed out the puncture wounds, likely infected with bacteria that could quickly kill. They simply helped me with my bird.
