ANIMAL rights groups have begun a campaign against the dairy industry's treatment of bobby calves. Dairy Australia commissioned a blood-test study which showed that calves deteriorated after 24 hours off feed, she said. Here's the full article from the Weekly Times Now.

Also, they were infested by a species of ear mite unknown to science. And so, a breed association formed to preserve these goats. (No No such association was formed on behalf of the ear mites.)

Charles River Labs, a company which develops drugs and conducts contract animal testing, has an atrocious animal rights record, although they deny it of course. They recently moved into China two years ago where they established a toxicology and drug-testing facility in Shanghai.

This gives animal rights activists some time to prepare further defense of the animals. Animal welfare activists protested the transfer. The chimps have been free from testing at the Alamogordo Primate Facility at Holloman Air Force Base since 2001. I received an alert from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

I don't believe they are working for human welfare. I do believe they want prestige, tenure, royalties and patent rights. I don't believe they are "brave" for "standing up" to animal rights activists. But as far as they are concerned, I am still an animal rights terrorist for the mere fact that I disagree with them.

Here's another direct action and its result, as described in an interview by Larry Mantle on KPCC Radio (it's the one called " Animal Rights vs. Animal Testing "). He speaks of the "mixed message of the animal rights community" that animals are so much like us, yet not enough like us to experiment on. That's one result.

The underlying premise is that you can know what is right (such as me knowing what's right then eating cow flesh in the form of filet mignon for a year), but that by no means will necessarily manifest in your behavior.
