Finless Shark Found in the Phillipines

The shark's fins had been cut and he was still alive when found, but sadly died. Ironically, this was just after a conference on saving sharks held in the Phillipines. Eleven of them signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) pledging to protect the whale sharks. Tags: wildlife crime poaching shark fins shark.

Swimming with a whale shark on the boat-trip to Isla Isabel. Also present are six species of reptiles, including the numerous Brown Iguanas. .

Sharks cruise off the city’s beaches, and just yesterday a deadly species of snake was found in a suburban railway station. These are the largest of the fruit-doves and quite beautiful and not a species I had ever seen before, so I was quite pleased. Lurking in the suburban lawns of Sydney are the deadly Funnelweb Spiders.

Over 40 species of South African endemics can be found in the Cape – Cape Sugarbirds, Cape Rockjumpers, Orange-breasted Sunbirds to name but a few. White Sharks, especially young ones, will prey on African Penguins.
