AVMF donates to Turkey, Syria to aid earthquake relief

The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) and Merck Animal Health announced April 5 that they are donating $100,000 to support recovery efforts and care for animals in the wake of earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

For the past few years, many of the Ibises that migrated southward, across Syria, haven’t returned. Add to hunting, poisoning, and habitat loss and disturbance yet another man-made danger: war.
