Sen. Franken to Introduce Bill to Increase Use of Service Dogs for Vets

Al Franken (suck on that Bill O'Reilly) has introduced a bill to increase the number of service dogs for vets returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. My bill will help train a statistically significant number of dogs to measure the benefits to veterans with physical and emotional wounds.

Something was clearly badly wrong with both of his back legs, I’m no vet, but I would guess they had both been broken. We tried to sight and count the pack twice every day so that if any of the dogs got snared we’d know quickly and could get a vet in to dart them, free them and clean up the wound.

Urgent Appeal for Flex, the Greyhound

He came to OCFA totally flea infested and with a few open wounds. One wound (the one on his front right leg) was to the bone. He has been vetted and is healing nicely. Flex is a handsome, neutered male, red fawn greyhound (currently under 60 pounds). We have not determined an age-he acts and appears young except for his teeth.
