We spent the end of 2004 and beginning of 2005 getting fired by vet after vet. She needed to know that I was committed to her life and the way I would demonstrate that was to keep her by my side and regulate her myself, using the same glucometer and test strips people use. She's our 62-pound miracle. We do what we must.
