The authors’ detailed delineation of problems with the accuracy of NYC breeding bird surveys or with the limits of historical writings may test a reader’s patience. They wrote books and published research. It’s a very mixed chapter. They’re worth a look at, particularly the tables giving longitudinal data and density change.

My opinion (not this publication’s) is that this is old and outdated as a topic for school, including all the focus in high school (one-third of the reading portion of the ACT test is on poetry). If you’re a smaller company, have your trainer or HR person do some research and share some choices. It’s time to redesign!

I feel certain that, given Tennessee’s 18-year track record of celebrating cranes in a tremendously successful festival, the opposition will only be stronger in 2013. Hunters will be required to pass and ID test.
