ANIMAL rights groups have begun a campaign against the dairy industry's treatment of bobby calves. Animals Australia has a video on its website showing calves being roughly dragged off utes and thrown to the ground. Here's the full article from the Weekly Times Now.

This, now, is a very practical matter, where all measures we take must be tested empirically on their consequences. And that means for the animal rights movement: Social entities like compassion, empathy and suffering are very important factors to motivate humans to change their behaviour. I don't think it's one or the other.
