The indoor workshop started with a Covid self-testing (where everyone was negative), followed by lectures on the Swarovski company, its ethos and products. And, expectedly, the advice was: you should significantly lower your prices and move production to Asia. The next day we had an outdoor workshop and a chance to test the toys.

Great Egrets and the reliability of field marks

I was still telling the truth when I mentioned the four subspecies, species, taxa, forms, you name it, of the Great Egret: modesta (Asia), alba (Europe, Asia), egretta (Americas) and melanorhynchos (Africa). alba : yellow in non-breeding season (usually less bright than egretta ), entirely black in breeding season.
