In my previous blog Bird Photography Equipment Lens and filters I compared two telephotos which I use regularly, the 300 f/4 IS USM which is an excellent prime lens, and the 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 I tested this combination extensively and found that the 7D would focus but only under good light conditions.

As you might surmise, I spend an inordinate amount of time every day thinking about both birding and blogging. As the owner of what has been called ( by me ) western New York’s leading test prep organization , I have to meticulously analyze every aspect of these crucial college entrance exams. Perhaps we’re alike in that.

Well, we did elect George W Bush at least once, so it is a hypotheses worth testing, I suppose. And though Ted Floyd’s blog post on the ABA Blog is really more about how the public is more into birds than birding, I find the idea that perhaps the fact that most Americans might have what it takes to be birders.

As soon as the test began, so did the monotonous cheeping. My conjecture was confirmed three hours into the test when that streaky little bugger hopped out into the open. At an auspicious time, I enlisted the test takers to help me corral the critter, which I then summarily ejected from the premises. I blame Baby Bird Week.

I found a link to them on ANIMAL's blog (ANIMAL is a Portuguese animal rights group.) Here's a group I've never heard of. These scientists are NOT an animal rights group. They do support some animal-based studies (which sucks); HOWEVER, they acknowledge that much animal research is useless.
