I bought a new rucksack yesterday and the first thing I checked when I brought it home was, how easily my spotting scope with a mounted window clamp fits in – test passed with flying colours. This species seems to frequently join mixed-species flocks – in research in Thailand, the species was found in 20% of the mixed-species flocks. On the morning of day 4 at Nonggang, I had a sore throat but a covid test was negative, so birding continued … On the plus side, it looks rather funny when wet.
